Fortuna Coffee Bar
The team at Fortuna Coffee Bar came to us to design and fit their second premises on Frederick Street in Edinburgh, after the success of their existing cafe on Queen street. With a palette of taupe textured paint, sandy quartz, terracotta red, dark oak and white tiles, we transformed the former tearoom into a beautiful, functional coffee bar. By stripping out some of the existing, bulky joinery and replacing it for lighterweight fixtures, the space was opened up to give customers breathing room and allow natural light to find it’s way around the cafe easier. The steps outside were adapted to provide comfortable seating. The back of house areas were also tackled - the kitchen was created in the small room behind the servery, making use of the small space as efficiently as possible.
