Purslane is fast becoming one of Edinburghs most sought after dining establishments. Under the talented hand of Paul Gunning, who has worked in Michelin starred restaurants under chefs such as Marco Pierre White, the intimate basement restaurant serves up a rustic fine dining experience to it's patrons.

SPLINTR were approached to breathe a new lease of life into the tired interior of the restaurant in order to enhance the customer experience by creating an environment to compliment the quality of the food. Using a mixture of rough sawn reclaimed timber, hot rolled steel and fluted glass the design aimed to reinforce the rustic fine dining experience.
